About the Project

Our mission is to train, develop, and support the people on the frontlines fighting to secure meaningful wins for workers, our communities, and the environment.

Powered to Win provides national organizations and grassroots groups the understanding and skills necessary to wage campaigns against corporate practices harming workers, the environment, and communities across the globe.

Our Why, What, and How

Corporations and their financiers exploit every aspect of our society. From technology and healthcare conglomerates to brand-name corporations and environmentally devastating energy companies, these public and private corporations constrain and degrade our lives. They control not just our paychecks but our healthcare, education, rent, and transportation, and our access to essential utilities like water, electricity and the internet.

Our government has failed to govern when we most need support. Mired in political dysfunction, elected leaders have also failed to put forth the regulatory and legislative policies necessary to stop corporate exploitation and remedy the structural injustice pervasive in their own institutions.

As a result, we live in a state of overlapping political, economic, and human rights crises. Coupled with the ever-increasing merger of corporate and government power, building a movement to take on this centralized system has never been more essential.

Workers from various backgrounds gather to advocate for better work conditions, holding a banner that reads “What we could win together.”

To build that movement, we need to expand the number of organizations and individuals that understand and can employ strategic campaigns. Many organizations lack staff with the skills to develop and execute the effective strategic campaigns that build large bases of power to secure meaningful wins for workers, our communities, and the environment.

Our learning platform and fellowship program address this issue. We provide free, accessible, comprehensive training and support to build a broad network of individuals capable of running effective, strategic campaigns and securing wins for our communities and environment.
